Pottawattamie Arts, Culture & Entertainment

Intended as a multi-use and shared creative space, this project combines a 24,200 square foot addition with a 53,100 square foot renovation to a historic, 110-year-old building. A 282-seat theater and community exhibition/event space with a lounge area are incorporated into the facility. It also features an art gallery, ballet and music rehearsal studios, teaching kitchens, artist spaces, offices, conference rooms, and an outdoor patio.

Center for People

A 3,500 square foot renovation to an occupied non-profit serving the city. Features an upgraded commercial kitchen with new cabinets, solid surface countertops for teaching, and the transformation of existing conference areas into a natural-style grocery store. Highlights include the addition of two classrooms and a computer lab.

Randall Community Water District Regional Waterline

A 72-mile, regional high-capacity water transmission line for Randall Community Water District (RCWD) to carry water from the Missouri River to southeastern South Dakota. The design-build contract was awarded to Hausmann Construction-General Excavating Joint Venture, in collaboration with engineer SEH Inc. Hausmann was also awarded the construction manager at risk contract to complete improvements to the Platte Treatment Plant for RCWD with ID8 Architecture.

Gothenburg Impact Center

A new 40,000 square foot community building to serve a wide range of local needs. Features an early childhood wing with classrooms and common areas, a playground, large community event space, athletic training area with turf, and family service spaces. Highlights include a versatile layout that accommodates educational, recreational, and community-focused services for families.
