University of Nebraska Lincoln – Lincoln, NE
The 240,000 square foot College of Business is the largest academic building project in recent history at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. The new building serves as a central gathering and welcoming place for the College of Business community, the University and the private business collective in this region. The building features interactive learning spaces in state-of-the-art classrooms, cutting-edge technology and plenty of space to host events. The structure is a combination of cast in place concrete shear towers, concrete foundation walls and structural steel. The exterior façade is primarily comprised of glass curtainwall and precast concrete panels clad with natural limestone. The northwest quarter of the building houses the Dean’s office, also known as “The Cube”, and is a three-story square box fully wrapped in glass..
Lincoln Public Schools – Lincoln, NE
The Marilyn Moore Middle School and Copple Family YMCA project is the product of a unique partnership between the Lincoln Public Schools and YMCA of Lincoln. The 243,291 square foot facility is noteworthy for its use of nearly every structural element available in the industry. Precast columns, beams and panels, structural steel, CMU and glue-laminated timber all added important function and aesthetic to the building. The project also incorporated both indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a water track, spa and splash pad. More than 298 geothermal wells fuel the facility and three indoor gymnasiums create space for intramural sports, tournaments and other activities.
Columbus Public Schools – Columbus, NE
Columbus High School is a new 257,000 square foot educational facility, including two gymnasiums, wrestling and fitness rooms, music/drama wing, 740 seat auditorium, two-story classroom wing and an auto/metal/wood shop wing. The building consists of four different construction types: structural masonry, precast, conventional steel and metal building system. The new school also has 875 parking stalls for faculty, students and visitors. A new competition soccer/football field, a track with 500 seat bleachers, several practice fields and event areas for discus, shot put and pole vault are also incorporated into the project site.
Eppley Airfield - Omaha, NE
New construction of a parking garage and rental car facility at Omaha, Nebraska’s Eppley Airfield. The parking garage will consist of 2,000 added spaces on four levels. The structure is designed with energy efficient lighting, improved vehicular flow and direct access from the street. The rental car facility features a climate controlled walkway to customer service and just a short escalator ride to the rental cars will have you on your way in no time.
University of Nebraska Lincoln – Lincoln, NE
This project is a 107,000 square foot facility where students can get medical, dental, physical therapy and mental health services. The state-of-the-art clinic has programming capacity to expand health-care services. One half of the project, 54,000 square feet, replaces the current health center for students at UNL. The other houses the new, 53,000 square foot UNMC College of Nursing facility.
University of Nebraska Omaha – Omaha, NE
The Scott Crossing/Maverick Landing building is a new student housing project on the University of Nebraska Omaha Pacific Campus. The four-story, 186,000 square foot structure is composed of both residence halls and an academic center. The residence hall is a 134-unit wood structure and includes a mix of studio, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom floor plans. The two-story steel structure that features the academic center includes learning commons, private study areas, flexible meeting space, food service and office spaces.
