Lincoln Children’s Zoo

Spreading across 10 acres, this multi-phase expansion and improvement project features a giraffe barn, a new tiger house, anteater and monkey exhibits, and a cheetah run — most of which include individual holdings and outdoor habitats for year-round interaction between patrons and animals. Four new play areas are incorporated into the campus: a 72-foot splash stream, a climbing structure with a bridge overlooking giraffes, an indoor play place, and an outdoor climbing structure in the shape of an elephant. The project also includes a new main entrance, a café, event space, a 150-seat amphitheater, and a two-story Education and Conservation Center with seven classrooms.
