For the past six years, Hausmann has played a pivotal role in the development of communities along Colorado’s Front Range. In June 2018, Hausmann opened its doors in Greenwood Village, aiming to build upon an already robust resume by seizing new opportunities. Our office has grown significantly, with many talented professionals joining the team to build their careers with Hausmann.

Now located in Loveland, the Colorado team continues to expand and make its mark in the region. From Cheyenne to Colorado Springs, and Fort Collins to Frisco, you will see the Hausmann team working diligently to meet the needs of the entire Front Range landscape. Whether it’s K-12, higher education, commercial, multi-family or industrial projects, our team is always ready to tackle challenges head-on.

The Cottonwoods at Mid Valley in Steamboat Springs is one project that exemplifies our solutions-based approach. This project is a partnership between a private developer and the Yampa Valley Housing Authority to provide 84 for-sale condos as well as 160 for-rent housing units for the local workforce in Steamboat Springs. During preconstruction, our team identified a value engineering opportunity related to the existing soil conditions. The original geotechnical report called for the over-excavation and import of 13 feet of soil. This time-consuming process would be costly to the project, but utilizing our experience with similar conditions, our team proposed the use of low slump grout injection as a ground improvement method. This method injects grout into the existing soil to stabilize it and provides the bearing pressures required for the building pads. This had never been done in Steamboat, so the Hausmann team ensured that the design team, owner, and local code officials were actively engaged in the process and gave their approval prior to the project start date. By switching to this method, the project achieved substantial savings and the schedule improved by two months.

This same level of mountain construction expertise is applied to all of Hausmann’s projects, including our other housing projects in the mountain communities of Frisco and Silverthorne. Our Colorado teams continue to overcome challenges with steep terrain, limited access to water sources, alternative fuel sources for winter heating, extreme winter weather conditions, and a seasonally fluctuating workforce, all while keeping the projects on schedule and within budget. Hausmann is currently constructing more than 300 units between our projects in Frisco, Silverthorne, and Steamboat Springs, and we foresee this creating several opportunities for additional work in the near future.

We are immensely grateful for the strong client and community partnerships we’ve built over the years and look forward to their continued growth. Together, we aim TO BUILD THE BEST COMMUNITIES in Colorado.
